Seattle Sounders FC celebrates one of seven goals vs. the San Jose Earthquakes

After a loss last Sunday at the hands of LAFC, Sounders FC (9-4-3, 30 points) heads back down to California for an evening matchup against the San Jose Earthquakes (6-7-5, 23 points) at Earthquakes Stadium (7:30 p.m. PT / JOEtv, Prime Video, 1090 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). The last time these two teams faced off Seattle sailed to a resounding 7-1 victory. However, San Jose has won four of its last five coming into this match.
Seattle is currently leading the Western Conference with 30 points, tied with Portland but with a league-best +18 goal differential. Sounders FC has won five of its last seven, outscoring its opponents 19-8. If Stefan Frei starts, it will mark is 250th appearance for the Rave Green in all competitions.
