New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution will travel cross country this week to face Chivas USA (pronounced CHEE-vas) on Saturday, June 30, at 10:30 p.m. ET.
Saturday's meeting is the first of two this season between New England (6-2-4, 22 pts.) and Chivas USA (5-4-2, 17 pts.), and the only meeting on the West Coast. The two teams will play the East Coast return engagement on Saturday, July 7, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough at 7:30 p.m.
The Revs enter Saturday's game atop the MLS Eastern Conference standings, one point ahead of second-place New York. Chivas USA sits third in the Western Conference standings, eight points back of leader FC Dallas.
This season, New England has accumulated an MLS-best 3-1-2 record on the road, while Chivas USA is a league-best 4-0-1 at home, yielding just a single goal.
A combined four players from the two teams will be unavailable for Saturday's game because of national-team duty, as New England's Taylor Twellman and Chivas USA's Brad Guzan, Sasha Kljestan and Jonathan Bornstein are all currently with the U.S. National Team at Copa America 2007 in Venezuela.
