D.C. United and the Colorado Rapids meet for the second time this season on national television when they face off at RFK Stadium on MLS Primetime Thursday. The teams met on First Kick 2007 in the opening of Dick's Sporting Goods Park, the Rapids inaugurating their new home with a 2-1 victory.

- D.C. United hasn't won in Colorado since May 6, 2000, a span now of eight games. The Rapids have won the last four home meetings with D.C. United, one each over the last four seasons.
- By comparison, Colorado hasn't won on East Capitol Street since July 10, 1999, a span of eight matches coming into this season.
