The Lowdown Tonight is the make-up game from Sunday January 24th's postponement because of poor weather and driving conditions. The first two games of this series have both been played at the Cranbrook Rec Plex with the Pats winning one in a shoot-out, and losing 8-4 on December 31st.

About the Ice:

With a record of 16-1-1-0 in their last 18 games, the Ice are one of the hottest teams in all of the WHL. Because of this fantastic streak, they have now climbed into 3rd spot in the Central Division and 5th in the Conference.

Who's who: The Ice have one of the most dynamic and speedy top lines in the WHL in Steele Boomer, Dustin Sylvester and Kevin King:

Player: GP G A Pts.

Dustin Sylvester 49 27 4 72

Steele Boomer 51 21 33 54

Brayden McNabb 44 15 34 49

For the first time this season, Jordan Eberle has been kept off the score sheet in back to back games:

Player: GP G A Pts.

Jordan Eberle 38 35 37 72

Jordan Weal 52 24 46 70

Matt Strueby 49 27 14 41

Big January:January finished with a 4-1 loss in Moose Jaw on Saturday night, but even with the loss, it was the best month of the season for the Pats. They finished with a 7-2-1-0 record, which is a complete turnaround from the 1-10-0-0 record they suffered in December

On the ice tonight: This is the only game on the ice tonight in the WHL.

"Monday Night" Hockey?:Mondays and Thursdays are usually travel days in the WHL, so it is rare that a team plays on these dates. This season, the Pats will play a game on both, and both against the Ice. The two met up on New Year's Eve, which fell on the Thursday, and tonight's game is a make-up date from the postponed game a week ago Sunday.

They are all big games: With the Pats in full chase mode in the Eastern Conference playoff race, every game is important from here on in. Here's how the rest of the schedule breaks down: 20 games (10 home/10 away), 18 v/ Eastern Conference, 12 East Division, 2 B.C. Division.

All the fun is on Tomorrow: The Pats will host the Red Deer Rebels in a crucial Eastern Conference match-up, but it will be a festival atmosphere. It's Waste Management night, so bring a non-perishable food item to the game that can be donated to the Regina Food Bank. Jordan Eberle will also be signing autographs after the game is over. You can purchase a glossy picture for $5 for Jordan to sign, courtesy of Konica-Minolta with all of the proceeds going to the WHL's Haiti Relief Fund.
