Game information for D.C. United versus Chelsea on Thursday

WASHINGTON, DC (July 25, 2005) - On Thursday, July 28, MLS Cup Champions D.C. United will take on English Premier League Champions Chelsea FC at FedEx Field in Landover, Md. Please note various ticket, travel and parking information below. The game is set to kickoff at 8:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live in espn2.

Ticket purchase

Fans who are planning to attend Thursday's match are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance of the game, as FedEx Field has far fewer ticket booths than RFK Stadium. If fans do decide to wait until game day to purchase tickets, it is recommended that they arrive early, as there may be a wait to buy. Tickets may be purchased in advance of the game by visiting dcunited.com, ticketmaster.com or by calling D.C. United at 202-587-5000.

Metro

Please note that a shuttle bus will not be available to and from the local Metro stations. The Morgan Boulevard (Blue line) metro stop is the closest station to FedEx Field. It is approximately a 10-15 minute walk to the stadium from the stop.

Parking

With the purchase of a game ticket, parking is free. All parking lots will open four hours prior to the game (4 p.m.). Gates to the stadium will open at 6:30 p.m.
