LAST GAME: 4-1 W Vs Kelowna Rockets: The Medicine Hat Tigers closed out their start to the Holiday break in a big way defeating the Kelowna Rockets 4-1 on December 17th at Co-op Place. Oasiz Wiesblatt scored with .1 seconds left on the clock to tie the game at 1-1 in the first period and the tabbies never looked back Tyler MacKenzie would bang home the game winner in the second period while Dallon Melin and Cayden Lindstrom would each register a goal and an assist in the third period on route to the 13th win of the season for the Tigers as well as Beckett Langkows win totals making 13 saves.
VS LETHBRIDGE: It's the 5th of 8 meetings this season between the Tigers and Hurricanes, Medicine Hat won the season opener September 24 at Co-op Place 9-1 while the Hurricanes has won the last two games in the season series in their home opener September 30, 5-4 and at Co-op Place on November 5, it was Lethbridge picking up a 3-2 road win. Jett Jones, Logan Wormald & Tyson Zimmer would score for the Hurricanes while Dallon Melin and Andrew Basha tallied for the Tigers in the loss. The most recent encounter came on December 9 as the Tigers fell 5-3 to the Hurricanes as Tyson Zimmer would score the game winner at 9:36 in the third period while Dru Krebs, Owen MacNeil and Brayden Boehm would score in the loss for Medicine Hat.

Latvian Leap: Second year defenceman Bogdans Hodass will represent Team Lativa at the upcoming World Junior Hockey Championships in Halifax, Nova Scotia for the second straight year. In 24 GP this season, Hodass has 4 goals and 11 assists for 15 points. At this summer's World Juniors in Edmonton, Hodass had 1 goal and 1 assist in 5 games making it to the Quarter Finals.
Mr. 400: Tigers Head Coach & Willie Desjardins notched his 400th win as a Head Coach with the Medicine Hat Tigers December 10th in a 6-3 win at home against the Moose Jaw Warriors. Desjardins record in his 13 seasons coaching in the WHL. Desjardins first win as Tigers Head Coach was a 4-3 win on September 24, 2002 against the Saskatoon Blades.
Busy Beckett:Tigers Goaltender Beckett Langkow leads the WHL in minutes played with 1638 including a stretch of ten straight starts from September 24 to October 2.
