Welcome West
A long, long time ago, in an arena in downtown Portland...
...the Winterhawks played an opponent from the WHL's Eastern Conference! And tonight, the cross-conference action is renewed at the VMC as the Medicine Hat Tigers come to town.
Tomorrow signifies the end of a 965 day wait since the @pdxwinterhawks last played an Eastern Conference opponent.

Beckett Langkow has started each tilt between the pipes and boasts a .884 save percentage and 3.30 GAA through three games for Medicine Hat. The Tigers' western swing began on Friday in Everett, where they toppled the Silvertips 6-3.
Portland is 46-28-1-1-2 all-time against Medicine Hat, with a dominant 30-6-0-0-2 line on home ice.
Let's Make it Four
With the season well and truly underway, the Hawks will look to keep their hot start going tonight. Sitting at 3-0-0, Portland boasts one of three unbeaten records in the Western Conference.
Gabe Klassen continues to set the pace with a remarkable seven goals in three games for the Hawks, followed closely by Luca Cagnoni (1G, 3A) and Robbie Fromm-Delorme (1G, 3A). With balanced scoring throughout the lineup, Portland will look for its first 4-0-0 start since the 1993-94 campaign.
