Okay, NOW can we beat Everett?

We're always hopeful.

The team's got to be feeling good coming in after having its way with Seattle on consecutive days this weekend. Plus, the return of an important figure of to the locker room should be a real boost in morale. Combine those two with the fact that there's still a very real hunger to prove that they can beat Everett, there's plenty of reason to be hopeful tonight.

What return?

In case you haven't heard yet, 17-year-old center Jack O'Brien returned to the Winterhawks active roster Monday after starting his season in the USHL. Currently projected to be selected in the upcoming 2021 NHL Entry Draft, the left-handed forward could play as soon as tonight.

Changes on the bench?

Just for a few days.

Winterhawks Vice President, General Manger and Head Coach Mike Johnston and Assistant to the General Manager / Director of Scouting and Player Development Mike Coflin have traveled to Texas for scouting purposes for a few days, thus the shuffle. Associate Head Coach and Assistant General Manager Kyle Gustafson will act as the Head Coach tonight and he'll be assisted by Don Hay.
