Notes

TWINNING: The Royals started twin brothers Ryan and Jason Spizawka in tonight's 4-1 loss versus Prince George. The tandem became only the fourth set of twins to play in the same game for the same team in WHL history. The first set of twins were Ted and Brent McAneeley with the Edmonton Oil Kings from 1968 to 1970. The most famous is the pair of Ron and Rich Sutter with the Lethbridge Broncos from 1980 through 1983. The most recent were Jeremy and Josh Schappert who played with the Seattle Thunderbirds from 2005 to 2007.

ROOKIE POINT PRODUCTION: The Royals have 12 rookies on their roster this season, and the first-year players have been contributing on offensive end. Freshman players have contributed 31 points (8g-25a) for the Island team out of the 87 total points from Royals' players this year. This accounts for 38% of Victoria's total points. With their 25 assists Royals' rookies have contributed 46% of the team's total assists for the year.

ON A ROLL: Forward Brayden Tracey has points in 10 of the last 12 games. The Anaheim Ducks' draft choice has eight goals and seven assists for 15 points over that span.

Next Game: The Royals return to Prospera Place inside the RE/MAX Hub to take on the Kelowna Rockets tomorrow night. Puck drop at 7:05 p.m. Catch all the action on CHL TV or join Marlon Martens live on The Zone @ 91.3.
