Mississauga, CANADA-Raptors 905 defeated Rio Grande Valley Vipers, NBA D-League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, by a score of 95-85. The series is now tied in the NBA D-League Finals best-of-three series.
Raptors 905's Pascal Siakam led both teams in scoring with 32 points. Siakam also contributed with 12 rebounds. Kyle Wiltjer scored 25 points for the Vipers.
Not much separated both teams in the opening quarter. 905 were able to finish the opening quarter on top by the minimal score of 22-23. The three lead changes in the first quarter would end up being the only lead changes in the game.
Pascal Siakam's 11 points in the second quarter helped the Raptors 905 create separation between both teams. Brady Heslip added another eight points off the bench to end the half with the Vipers trailing 44-54.
The Vipers were able to cut into the deficit in the third quarter. Kyle Wiltjer scored 10 points in the third. Rio Grande Valley entered the final quarter of the game trailing 66-72. With 4:28 left in the game, Darius Morris shot a three-pointer that tied the game. Brady Heslip scored on a three-pointer in the next play to shift momentum back to Raptors 905.
The NBA D-League will have a champion come Thursday night. The Vipers face off against Raptors 905 in a decisive NBA D-League Finals Game 3.
