Tonight

The Saskatoon Blades (10-4-1-0) open a challenging three-in-three stretch through Manitoba, beginning in Brandon as they take on the Wheat Kings (6-9-0-0) for the third time this season.

Saskatoon is coming off an overtime victory over the Central Division-leading Edmonton Oil Kings, which saw the Blue & Gold erase a late two-goal deficit at SaskTel Centre on Tuesday night.

This is the first of nine straight games on the road for Saskatoon, with their next home game not until December 10th against the Calgary Hitmen.

Following tonight's contest, Saskatoon will venture into Winnipeg to face the ICE in back-to-back contests on Saturday and Sunday.

Who to Watch

Draft eligible forward Brandon Lisowsky led the charge in a late comeback against Edmonton Tuesday night, scoring twice in the third period to force overtime. The Port Coquitlam, BC product sits tied for second in team scoring with nine goals on the year, which also places him tied for fifth league-wide. Tuesday's performance was his second multi-goal game of the season, with his first coming against Brandon on October 13th.

Captain Aidan De La Gorgendiere is coming off one of his best defensive performances of the season, going +4 in the Blades 4-3 win over Edmonton. The 19-year-old also helped set up the game-winning goal in overtime, his 13th assist of the season.

Alternate captain Tristen Robins netted the game-winner, and added a helper in Tuesday's win. The San Jose Sharks prospect remains on top of the league scoring charts with 25 points in 14 games.

On the Record

Captain Aidan De La Gorgendiere on managing the workload over the next three days.

"We've just got to focus on our next game. Brandon is a big, physical team, so we've got to go in expecting that. But at the same time, we've just got to go in and play our game, use our speed and we'll be fine."

"We're just trying to go out every single day and get better at our game. That's our only focus in our dressing room."

Defenceman Ben Saunderson, born and raised in Carberry, MB, on heading back to his old stomping grounds.

"It'll be pretty cool, heading back home and seeing some family and friends. I grew up watching games in Brandon so it'll be nice being back on the ice and seeing some of my old buddies."

"It's cool to think that I was the little kid down at the glass during warmup watching the older guys, and now I'm one of the older guys. It's a pretty cool feeling."
