
Gagnon Wins Sportsmanlike Player Of Year Award

Seattle, May 2, 2007 - The Seattle Thunderbirds are pleased to announce team captain Aaron Gagnon was awarded the WHL Most Sportsmanlike Player of the Year Award today at the WHL Awards Luncheon in Calgary, Alberta.
Gagnon was the Western Conference nominee for the WHL Player of the Year Award won by Kris Russell of the Medicine Hat Tigers.
Gagnon led the T-Birds in scoring this past season with 80 points on 42 goals and 38 assists in 59 games.
He finished his WHL career in Seattle with 244 points on 123 goals and 121 assists in 318 games.
Gagnon signed a professional contract with the Dallas Stars on February 2 and is currently playing with the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League, the top minor league affiliate of Dallas. Gagnon joined Iowa after the T-Birds were eliminated in the second round of the WHL Playoffs.
