
Barry Douglas Selected as Western Conference Marketer of the Year

Chilliwack BC - May 2, 2007: The Chilliwack Bruins Hockey Club is pleased to announce that Barry Douglas was today named Runner Up for the WHL Marketing and Communications Award for the 2006-07 Season.
"We are extremely proud that Barry has been recognized by the WHL for this award," remarks Darryl Porter, President of the Bruins. "To be recognized by the WHL in our first year of operation is something that has rarely been accomplished by any team before and this reflects directly on Barry and his staff as a tremendous honor. However, Barry will be the first to tell you, that without knowledgeable and loyal fans, this accolade never occurs. We take our hats off once again to our great corporate and fan support throughout the Valley."
Barry Douglas has ten years of experience in junior hockey including six years in marketing. Barry also spent time at the local radio station CHWK 1270AM working in the sports department, promotions and providing the play by play for hockey broadcasts.
