
Gabe Latigue undergoes knee surgery

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution rookie midfielder Gabe Latigue underwent successful surgery on his right knee yesterday, Thursday, Aug. 15, and is expected to return to full action in six to nine months.
Latigue, 22, underwent reconstructive surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his right knee. Head team physician Dr. Scott Martin performed the operation at the Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain, Mass.
Latigue suffered the injury on July 15, in a training session with the Rochester Rhinos, where he was on loan all season. With the Rhinos, Latigue made 16 appearances and recorded two assists. He also made two appearances with the Revolution in U.S. Open Cup action, starting two matches and recording one assist.
