Gwinnett Stripers News Release

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA - Monday night's game between the Gwinnett Braves and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs at Coolray Field was suspended due to rain with no outs in the bottom of the second inning. The G-Braves have two runners on base and a 1-0 lead.

The game will resume at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday and will last the full nine innings. Following a 30-minute break, the teams will play a seven-inning contest.

The G-Braves took the lead in the second inning when Adonis Garcia singled, moved to third on a single by Cedric Hunter and scored on Sean Kazmar's double off the right-field wall. Shortly after the run scored, rain chased both teams off the field. Following a 1-hour, 28-minute delay, the game was suspended.

Gwinnett right-handed starter Matt Wisler worked 2.0 innings with two hits and a strikeout. Lehigh Valley left-hander Anthony Vasquez yielded a run on three hits over 1.0 inning and struck out two.

Atlanta Braves' third baseman Chris Johnson, making his first rehab appearance for Gwinnett, went 0-for-1 with a line-out to center in one at-bat against Vasquez.

Fans can redeem tickets from Monday's game for any other home game this season. On Tuesday, all Infield Box and Field Box seats are two for the price of one as part of "Two-For-Tuesday." To purchase tickets, call the Coolray Field Ticket Office at 678-277-0340 or visit GwinnettBraves.com/tickets.
