Green Bay Gamblers News Release
The 2010 Anderson and Clark Cup champion Green Bay Gamblers selected six players in today's USHL Futures Draft. The six players, who were all born in 1994, will be placed on the Gamblers Affiliate List.
In the first round the Gamblers selected Gavin Stoick, a forward who played this past year at the minor midget level with the Colorado Thunderbirds. In the second and third rounds the Gamblers stayed at the forward position selecting Sheldon Dries and Nicholas Schilkey, both of whom played this past year for Honeybaked Minor Midget. With their final three picks, the USHL champs selected defenseman Matt Pilot (South St. Paul High School), forward Alex Kile (Honeybaked Minor Midget) and Jake Horton (Benilde St. Margaret High School).
The USHL draft week continues tomorrow with the USHL Entry Draft. The draft will begin at 10:00 AM and will be covered pick-by-pick at www.ushl.com
