Furlong Named to QMJHL Team of the Week

The QMJHL announced the Videotron Team of the Week for the period ranging from November 28 to December 4, 2022 and it includes Halifax Mooseheads defenceman Jake Furlong.
The Upper Tantallon, NS was vital in a victorious road trip through Quebec that saw the Herd grab wins in Rimouski, Chicoutimi and Baie-Comeau. Furlong assisted on a pair of goals and was a +3 in Wednesday's 5-3 victory over the Oceanic. His had a helper on a Markus Vidicek shorthanded goal in the third period that stood up as the game-winner. He had a big assist on Friday night on another Vidicek tally late in the game that helped to force overtime in a contest that saw Halifax rally back from a 3-0 deficit to win 4-3. Furlong was once again a +3 in the game. The Mooseheads wrapped up the trip on Sunday with a 4-0 shutout of the Drakkar and while Furlong did not earn a point, he played a stellar defensive game and was a +2. For the season, he leads all Mooseheads defencemen in scoring with 19 points and is tops on the team in +/- at +23.
