
Fuller's Arm, Butler's Bat Lead Sand Gnats to 3-0 Win

Savannah starter Jimmy Fuller turned in six scoreless innings and Jet Butler homered and drove in all three runs as the Sand Gnats defeated the Lexington Legends 3-0 Sunday afternoon at Applebee's Park.
Fuller and Legends starter Tanner Bushue matched zeroes through three innings before the Savannah broke on top in the fourth. Cesar Puello led off with a double, and one out later, Jet Butler hit his first home run of the season to put the Sand Gnats in front 2-0.
Savannah added another run in the eighth inning. With one out, Puello doubled. He went to third as Travis Ozga reached on an error by first baseman Kody Hinze, and scored on as Butler grounded out to shortstop.
Fuller allowed four hits, struck out six and walked none in six innings. Gabriel Zavala gave up three hits and one walk in two and two-thirds innings, and Mike Powers got the final out to pick up his 13th save.
The series is even at one win apiece, and continues Monday night at Applebee's Park. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
