Rome, GA - The Rome Braves fell 8-2 to the Greenville Drive Sunday afternoon in front of 2,034 fans at State Mutual Stadium. The Braves fall to 14-16 in the second half.

The Drive lit up the scoreboard early with five runs in the first inning. Jeremy Hazelbaker lead off with a single then moved to second when Derrik reached base on a fielding error by Paul Gosselin. Greenville would add a run in the second to extend their lead to 6-0 when Hazelbaker led off with a double then scored on a Gibson RBI base hit.

The Braves got on the scoreboard with two runs in the third after Kyle Rose singled then Gosselin (1) delivered a two-run home run for the 6-2 score. That was all of the offense Rome could muster as Greenville held the Braves to just three more hits in the final six innings.
