December 11, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Rochester Americans News Release
(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans and Rochester Red Wings jointly announced today that gates will open at 5:00 p.m. prior to the outdoor game between the Amerks and Lake Erie Monsters at Frontier Field on Friday, Dec. 13 at 7:05 p.m. as part of the Greater Rochester Area Honda Dealers Frozen Frontier presented by Labatt.
The festivities kick-off with a pregame party inside the Labatt Blue Zone, a heated tent located in Frontier Field's Walk of Fame area on the left field side of the stadium. Live music will be provided by the band Strictly Hip inside the Labatt Blue Zone from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. as well as during the first and second intermissions. Food, beverages and official Frozen Frontier merchandise will be available for purchase in the Labatt Blue Zone.
In addition to Frozen Frontier merchandise being available in the Frontier Field Team Store and the Labatt Blue Zone, there will also be merchandise stands located in the concourse. The Amerks will be selling commemorative Frozen Frontier Mystery Pucks autographed by select Amerks players near the Red Wings Hall of Fame area on the concourse.
Prior to the start of the game, nine-year-old singer Baylee Morrison will perform the National Anthem on the field. Video screens on the first base and third base side of the field will show the game action for those fans with limited-view seating.
Following the game, fans can stay to enjoy a fireworks display at Frontier Field, then head to the official Frozen Frontier postgame party location, The Distillery on Mt. Hope Ave. The Distillery Postgame Party presented by Labatt will feature half-price appetizers and Labatt Blue and Blue Light drink specials. Amerks Hall of Famer Jody Gage and other Amerk Alumni will be on hand. The Distillery will also host Frozen Frontier Postgame Parties on Saturday and Sunday.
Parking for the Amerks-Monsters game on Friday will be available in Kodak Lot D and Lot C. The gates will open at 5:00 p.m. and the lots will open at 4:30 p.m. Tailgating is not permitted in the Kodak lots. Parking is $10.
Because of the cold weather and exposed pipes, the permanent restrooms at Frontier Field will not be available during the Frozen Frontier. However, portable restrooms will be available on both the first and third base sides of the ballpark. On the third base side, restrooms can be found in the Walk of Fame along the wall that is parallel to Morrie Silver Way, between the end of the seating bowl and the historic firehouse building at the corner of Morrie Silver Way and Plymouth Avenue. Portable restrooms on the first base side will be located outside of the ballpark between the Pop N Hots Concession stand and the Black Angus Concession stand. There will be handicapped accessible portable restrooms.
A very limited number of tickets for the Amerks' first-ever outdoor game are available for $35 (200 level), $25 (100 level) and $15 (limited view), and can be purchased online at www.FrozenFrontier2013.com.
