GLENS FALLS, NY -- Elmira Jackals goaltender Tyson Gajda made 33 saves, including 15 in the third period, to backstop the Jackals to a 3-1 win over the Adirondack Frostbite in front of 2,754 fans at the Glens Falls Civic Center.

Adirondack drew first blood just 31 seconds into the contest as Greg Koehler pushed a puck past Gajda on a goal-mouth scramble for his 10th goal of the season.

Elmira answered just1:14 later, as Konstantin Kalmikov took a cross-ice pass from Jason Sessa and redirected it past Kris Tebbs for a power-play goal to the game.

Kalmikov added his second of the period at 13:48 to give the Jackals a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes.

Elmira took a 3-1 lead 7:19 into the second period scoring another power-play goal. Tebbs made the initial save, but the rebound came free to Jarrett Konkle in the right-wing circle, and he blasted a shot past Tebbs for his 27th of the season.

The Frostbite out-shot the Jackals 34-22 for the game, and 15-2 in the third period.

Adirondack and Elmira complete their two-game weekend series on Sunday with a 5:15 p.m. face-off at the Glens Falls Civic Center. It's a Family Four Pack Night, with four tickets, four slices of pizza, and four sodas just $50. Tickets are available at the Glens Falls Civic Center Box Office, or by calling (518) 798-0202.
