GLENS FALLS, NY -- Sylvain Cloutier scored one goal and added two assists to help lead the Adirondack Frostbite to a 4-2 win over the Port Huron Flags on Wednesday at the Glens Falls Civic Center. All four Frostbite goals came on the special teams as the team netted three power-play goals and one shorthanded goal.

After a scoreless first period, the Flags struck first 13:37 into the second period. Brad Mehalko got behind the Frostbite defense, and goaltender Kris Tebbs came out of the crease to try and poke the puck away. But, the puck slid past him and rolled into the net for Mehalko's fifth goal of the season.

The Frostbite tied the game just over three minutes later scoring their first power-play goal of the night. Hugo Belanger slid a perfect cross-ice pass for Cloutier on the far post and he was able to slide a shot past Scott Hay for his fifth goal of the season.

Adirondack took the lead 5:11 into the third period. Kevin Watters hit Belanger with a long pass behind the defense, and Belanger deked Hay out of position for a shorthanded goal, his seventh tally of the season.

Scott Drevitch gave the Frostbite a two-goal lead at 8:17 as he blasted a shot past Hay from the high slot for his second goal of the season.

Port Huron pulled back within one at 11:07 as Ryan Gillis beat Tebbs with a long shot from the blue line on a Flags' power play to make it 3-2.

But, the Frostbite would retake the two-goal lead at 13:02 as Mike Berry tipped home a Mark Hurtubise shot from the left-wing circle for his fifth of the year.

With the win, the Frostbite improve to 12-3-0 on the season, and have an 11-point lead over Roanoke for first place in the Eastern Division.

The Frostbite host the Flags again on Friday at 7:35 p.m. Tickets are available at the Glens Falls Civic Center Box Office, or by calling (518) 798-0202.
