The Mallards fell to 8-6-2 following a 5-1 loss to Muskegon on Wednesday night at The MARK. Fury sniper Robin Bouchard scored a pair in the victory.

The Fury took a 1-0 lead on a power play with Bouchard's first of the night with 2:30 left in the opening period. Muskegon carried that lead into the intermission before Evgeny Lazarev tied the game early in the second period. Lazarev's power-play goal was his seventh of the season. Patrick Nadeau earned an assist on the goal to extend his scoring streak to six games. Tom Galvin recorded the other helper.

The Fury took control of the game with a pair of goals less than a minute after Lazarev's goal. Ryan Keller and Rustyn Dolyny scored 31 seconds apart to give Muskegon a 3-1 cushion. Bouchard added his second late in the middle period, and Jeff Nelson scored his 10th of the season for the only goal of the third period to secure the Fury win 5-1.
