By the Numbers:
Spirit forward Nick Lees is now tied for 6th in the OHL for goals scored with 28. Forward Jesse Gimblett wrapped up an eight game points streak last weekend, second longest of the season for a Spirit player.

Spirit v. Mississauga Ice Dogs: Friday, 2/6 7:30 PM
The Spirit took three points from the Ice Dogs in 2002-03, with a 7-4 win on October 12th and a 3-2 OT loss on January 3rd. This is the first meeting of the two teams this year. The much improved Ice Dogs meet the Spirit as the Eastern Conference leaders. Mississauga forward Brad Efthimiou is the league's ninth leading scorer, and the team sports two goalies in the top ten of goals against average. (Doug Groenestege # 6, David Shantz # 10).
Rookie forward Chad Painchaud is ranked 41st among North American skaters for the 2004 NHL draft, 14th in the OHL.
Spirit v. Erie Otters: Saturday, 2/7 7:30 PM
The Spirit are 1-1-1-0 with the Otters this season, with a 6-5 win on 9/27, a 3-3 tie on 11/23 and a 2-1 loss on 1/17. The Otters feature the fourth leading scoring defenseman, Chris Campoli, the sixth leading scorer, Rob Hisey and the tenth leading rookie scorer in Sean O'Conner, as well as former Spirit forward Geoff Platt.
Spirit v. Toronto St. Michael's Majors: Sunday, 2/8 2:00 PM
The Spirit are 0-1 against the Majors, with a 4-2 loss on January 30th. Toronto is second in the Eastern Conference, behind Mississauga, and features a pair of top prospects for the 2004 NHL draft in forward Tyler Haskins (54th NHL Ranked Skater, 15th OHL) and defenseman Scott Lehman (94th NHL Ranked Skater, 22nd OHL).
Majors' goalie Justin Peters is 5th in the league in Save Percentage and Goals Against Average, and rated the fourth best goaltender prospect for the 2004 NHL draft, 2nd best in the OHL.
