Wisconsin Rapids, WI - Green Bay starter Drew Bradshaw tossed six innings and allowed just two hits in a 9-3 victory over the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. The 'Frogs end the first-half with a win as they win the three-game series on the road against the Rafters. Green Bay scored six two-out runs in the second inning to propel them to a second big win against the last place Rafters.

With the win Green Bay ends the first half in a three-way tie for first place with Eau Claire and Battle Creek. All three teams are tied at 20-13.

A 3-way tie is broken by first eliminating one team based on head-to-head winning percentage among the group of teams that are tied. The head-to-head winning percentages of the three teams are as follows: Eau Claire .556 (3-1 vs GB; 2-3 vs BC = 5-4) Battle Creek .500 (3-2 vs EC; 2-3 vs GB = 5-5) Green Bay .444 (3-2 vs BC; 1-3 vs EC = 4-5)

Because Green Bay's winning percentage is the lowest after comparing head-to-head records, they are eliminated from the 3-way tie. For the sake of this tiebreaker, only Eau Claire and Battle Creek remain tied.

Battle Creek .600 (3-2) Eau Claire .400 (2-3)

Battle Creek with a win on Wednesday clinched their first playoff berth in their five-year franchise history.

In Wisconsin Rapids, the Bullfrogs jumped on the board first for the second night in a row. Rafter's starter Mike Russo retired the first two hitters in the inning. Nik Balog then hit a double. Russo would walk the next four consecutive hitters to push across two runs. Billy Moon then knocked Russo out of the game with an opposite field two-RBI single. Skyler Debilzen came in and gave up a two-RBI single to Mitch Haniger before he struck out Paul Hoenecke to end the inning.

That was all that Drew Bradshaw needed as he tossed six innings and allowed just two hits. He gave up a single to lead off the second inning before he retired 12 hitters in a row. In the sixth, two unearned runs came into score. Bobby Martin reached on an error and scored on a bases loaded walk before Cody Koback scored on a wild pitch.

Corey Kyle gave up one run in two innings of relief while John Colella rebounded after a couple of tough outings by striking out two in a hit-less inning. Green Bay tacked on a single run in the 7th, 8th and 9th innings. The Bullfrogs will open up the second half on Thursday with a two-game series against the Madison Mallards at 7:05 pm.
