Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

DUBUQUE, IA-The chances of walking out of the Mystique Community Ice Center a winner Friday night are through the roof. The Dubuque Fighting Saints are hosting Fan Appreciation Night presented by American Trust this Friday, and the club's final home game of the regular season will see prizes given away left and right. A $5,000 giveaway courtesy of American Trust's "The Winning Edge" promotion, plus a chance for three contestants to shoot for a lease on a new car from Victory Ford, highlight the evening's smorgasbord of winnings. Dubuque hosts the Tri-City Storm at 7:35 p.m. and the night of prizes will include over 1,000 autographed programs and other great prizes awarded to fans in attendance.

While the chances of walking away with a prize are great for all fans, one lucky person is guaranteed to walk away with a full wallet. During the game's second intermission, all eyes will be on the ice for the announcement of the $5,000 grand prize giveaway as part of "The Winning Edge" contest presented by American Trust. All entries in the contest over the past month are entered into the grand prize drawing, with no limit on the number of entries per person. Fans still have time to enter to win by signing up at American Trust locations, via American Trust's Facebook page and at the April 10 game prior to the second intermission drawing.

"The Winning Edge" contest, presented by American Trust - - --the presenting sponsor of the Fighting Saints since their return to the United States Hockey League in 2010--has awarded fans with great Fighting Saints prizes during games in March. Winners have scored the opportunity to attend Head Coach Matt Shaw's pre-game speech, enjoy a private VIP pizza party at Magoo's Pizza with Fighting Saints players and take home a USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game jersey.

During Friday's game, three lucky fans will have the chance to show their skills, and if they're a lucky winner, walk away with a 2015 Ford Mustang. Fans have been qualifying to be selected for a shot at a new car all season long during Victory Ford's Chuck-A-Puck. Fans who chucked their puck into a Victory Ford car during select nights in the 2014-2015 campaign were qualified to be selected to take the ice on April 10. If any one of the three lucky contestants makes their shot, they'll win a lease from Victory Ford on a 2015 Ford Mustang that is black in color and features leather seats.

Additional prize giveaways for Fan Appreciation Night start before the puck drops on April 10. Fans are encouraged to like the Dubuque Fighting Saints Facebook page and watch for posts over the next week featuring a chance to win autographed team memorabilia. On Fan Appreciation Night, 1,000 lucky fans will receive prizes. Other fans will be winners of prize packages announced throughout the evening.

The night will feature videos with messages from Fighting Saints players thanking fans and recalling their favorite Fighting Saints memories.

On the ice, the Fighting Saints are also looking for a win as they battle for playoff seeding. Dubuque has secured a spot in the Clark Cup Playoffs for the fifth straight year, making them the only club in the USHL to accomplish this feat. Dubuque's playoff opponent and game dates and times for the Clark Cup Playoffs have yet to be determined with post-season action slated to begin April 14.
