RALSTON, NE - After a six point week including a goal and five assists the United States Hockey League named Omaha Lancers' captain Jimmy Schuldt the CCM Defenseman of the Week.
"Our team had a great weekend, said Schuldt. "It's exciting that we're getting hot at the right time heading into the playoffs."
After an assist on Tuesday night in Lincoln, Schuldt had his best game of the week in regards to points. After assisting the game-tying goal at 16:48 of the second period against Cedar Rapids, Schuldt fired in the eventual game-winner just 14 seconds later from the left wing circle.
On the road Saturday night in Fargo, the St Cloud State commit helped set up Josh French at 13:19 of the second period. On the game-winning goal, Schuldt assisted Louie Rowe's second goal of the night 7:16 into the final period of regulation on route to a 4-3 victory over the Force.
The Minnetonka, MN native is in his third year with the Omaha Lancers. In 120 games played in the USHL, all with Omaha, Schuldt has 17 goals and 46 assists for 63 points. Over half of those points have come this season.
