
Freedom Homestand Continues on Wednesday

FLORENCE, Ky. - After taking two of three games from the defending Frontier League Champion, Joliet Slammers on opening weekend, the Florence Freedom, presented by Titan Mechanical Solutions, will continue their early season homestand on Wednesday when they play host to the River City Rascals for a doubleheader at UC Health Stadium. This West Division showdown will wrap up on Thursday, giving fans three more chances to see this exciting team take the field before their first road-trip starts on Friday. Beyond baseball, the upcoming park promotions slated for this mid-week series are sure to be a "hit" with the Freedom faithful.
White Claw Wednesday
While the Freedom battle their division foe Rascals twice on Wednesday, fans can enjoy discounted White Claw seltzer at the concession stands. In addition, Wednesdays in 2019 will be Kentucky Proud and Monday Mailer Family days, allowing patrons to indulge in discounted Kentucky Proud products including: $1 off hot dogs, popcorn and Stonebrook Winery products.
Gates Open: 4:35 p.m. with first pitch of game one between the Freedom and Rascals set for 5:35 p.m. Game two is slated to start roughly 45 minutes after the conclusion of the opener.
Kick-Off to Throwback Thursday & Thirsty Thursday
Thursday's series finale will be a Kick-Off to Throwback Thursday, meaning Freedom players and coaches will don original Florence Freedom uniforms in the finale with the Rascals. Help celebrate the Freedom heritage by posting pictures of the team in their classic threads on social media using the hashtag #ThrowbackThursday.
Also, back by popular demand in 2019, is the crowd-pleasing "Thirsty Thursday" promotion. Fans can enjoy $1 10oz drafts of Miller Lite and Coors Lite as well as aluminum pints of Miller Lite, Coors Light, Bud Light, and Michelob Ultra for just $3. 16oz craft pint drafts can also be purchased at the affordable low price of $4.
Gates Open: 5:35 p.m. with first pitch of the series capper to come one hour later at 6:35 p.m.
