Free Skating at TD Place During March Break

OTTAWA -- The Rideau Canal is closed for the season, but the Arena at TD Place will be open for skating during the March Break.

The Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group (OSEG) announced today that free skating will be available on the arena ice at TD Place, home of the Ottawa 67's, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. each day during March Break (Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20).

"The people of Ottawa have been so great to us during our first year of operation and this is another way where OSEG can show our appreciation for everybody's support in giving back to the community," said Jeff Hunt, President of Sports for OSEG, operators of the 67's, the Ottawa REDBLACKS of the Canadian Football League and Ottawa Fury FC of the North American Soccer League.

Useful information for skaters at TD Place:

It is highly recommended that all skaters wear a Canadian Standards Association (CSA)-approved helmet during skating sessions to help prevent head injuries. All skaters aged 10 and under, as well as any new or inexperienced skaters of any age will be required to wear a helmet.

Kids aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult

Hockey sticks and pucks are not permitted

The entrance for skating is Gate 2. Change rooms will be available at ice level

Please note that concessions stands WILL NOT be open, but restaurants and cafés at Lansdowne and the surrounding neighbourhood will be open

Parking is available in the underground lot at TD Place ($1.50 for each half hour)
