Free Hat + Sunglasses Night at the Rapids July 13

The Colorado Rapids will give away 5,000 free Rapids Bucket Hats and Sunglasses to fans at INVESCO Field this Saturday, July 13 when the Rapids face off against World Cup USA Superstar Cobi Jones and the Los Angeles Galaxy!

The first 2,500 adults to arrive at INVESCO Field at Mile High this Saturday will receive a free official Colorado Rapids bucket hat! Additionally, the first 2,500 children 16 and under to enter the stadium will receive a free official pair of Colorado Rapids sunglasses!

This Saturday, July 13th, the Colorado Rapids and the Colorado Rapids Community Care Foundation are working together to "Make Sun Safety Your Goal". The Rapids have teamed up with numerous organizations including The American Academy of Dermatology, the U.S. Soccer Foundation, and the MLS teams Chicago Fire, Los Angeles Galaxy, and D.C. United, to sponsor the event and to provide these great giveaway items. The purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness of the harmful effects of the sun's rays on unprotected skin.

Other "Colorado Rapids Sun Safety" events this Saturday include a treasure hunt sponsored by Children's Hospital of Denver prior to the game on the main concourse of INVECO Field at Mile High, and following the game, the Colorado Rapids and Los Angeles Galaxy's "Sun Safety" spokesplayers Pablo Mastroeni and Cobi Jones will host a private autograph session!
