
Free Barnstormers Fanfest Scheduled For Saturday

LANCASTER, Pa.-The Lancaster Barnstormers will officially kick off their 2007 season this Saturday, April 14, during a free FanFest at Clipper Magazine Stadium. The event is the first opportunity to purchase single-game regular season tickets, including Opening Day on May 4.
Other activities scheduled for FanFest 2007 include FREE HOT AIR BALLOON RIDES, free admission to the Weis Markets Kids' Play Area, pictures with Cylo and the Atlantic League championship trophy and autographs from Barnstormers players and coaches plus lots of delicious FREE BALLPARK FOOD from Kunzler, Pepsi, Turkey Hill and more. And new this year-one family will WIN A TRIP FOR FOUR TO WALT DISNEY WORLD IN ORLANDO, FLA.!
"We work hard to be a top destination for family entertainment in Lancaster County, just like Disney World is a destination for families world-wide," Barnstormers general manager Kevin Cummings said. "A trip to Disney World will be a wonderful experience for a loyal family of Barnstormers fans."
Fans who attend FanFest will also have the opportunity to vote for the team's new entertainment team and on-field host from a group of finalists who performa series of promotions and giveaways. Barnstormers manager Frank Klebe and several players will also be available to sign autographs and answer questions about the upcoming season. The Barnstormers leave for spring training in Lakeland, Fla., on April 23.
FanFest is the first opportunity to purchase single-game tickets for the Barnstormers 2007 regular season. The Clipper Magazine Stadium box office will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and begin regular season hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) on Monday. Due to the high demand anticipated, only a limited number of tickets for Opening Day (May 4) and the first War of the Roses game (May 18) will be sold online or over the phone. Tickets for the Atlantic League All-Star Game, scheduled for July 11, will go on sale April 23 at 10 a.m.
"If you're not a season ticket holder, the way to make sure you get tickets to the biggest games is to call us this week and become one or to get in line early on Saturday," Cummings said. "We're pleased our friends from Gold Café are bringing some donuts and coffee early Saturday morning for all of the early birds."
Single-game box seats purchased in advance are $8 for all fans. Lawn seating, which will go on sale after all box seats have sold out or at 4 p.m. on the day of the game, is $6 for adults, $4 seniors (65+) and youth (5-12) and free for children 4 and under.
Opening Night for the defending Atlantic League Champion Barnstormers will be May 4, 2007 when they take on the Road Warriors at 7:05 p.m. Tickets can be purchased all season long at www.lancasterbarnstormers.com or by calling the ticket office at (717) 509-3633.
