Fourth Year Pro D'Amico Re-Signs
August 2, 2018 - ECHL (ECHL)
Norfolk Admirals News Release
Norfolk, VA - The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes, signed forward Patrick D'Amico on Thursday morning.
D'Amico came to the Admirals from Atlanta last season as part of the trade that sent Brady Vail and Angelo Miceli to the Gladiators. The forward went on to appear in 55 games for the Admirals finishing sixth on the squad with 36 points (12g, 24a).
"Last year I came in and I continued to learn and improve throughout the year and I felt Norfolk is a great spot to continue to do that," said D'Amico. "Last year my role continued to grow as the season went on and I'm looking forward to picking back up where I left off."
In his third professional season the forward set career highs in assists and points. The Winnipeg, MB native has appeared in 170 ECHL games with Atlanta, Colorado, and Indy while recording 76 points. Prior to turning pro, D'Amico played three seasons with the Regina Pats (WHL) where he suited up in 160 games.
"It's my fourth year in the league, second in Norfolk," said D'Amico. "While I still feel like a young guy, I know I'm going to be looked on as a veteran guy and I'm ready to step into that leadership role."
D'Amico is the 10th player signed for the 2018-19 season, and the eighth who appeared in a game for the Admirals last season.
Norfolk will open the 2018-19 season on October 13 at home against the Wheeling Nailers. Full and partial season tickets are now available by visiting NorfolkAdmirals.com or calling the Admirals office at (757) 640-1212.
