
Fourth Quarter Rally Lifts Canton to 11th Straight Win

The Canton Charge (23-13), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, defeated the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (15-21), 107-96, to extend their franchise record winning streak to 11 games in front of 3,036 at the Canton Memorial Civic Center on Friday night.
Trailing 53-49 to start the second half, Fort Wayne outscored Canton 38-25 in the third behind potent offensive shooting as a unit, hitting 13-of-24 shots (54%) and turning the ball over just once. Indiana Pacers assignment Shayne Whittington led the way with 13 points in the third, including 3-of-4 three-point shooting, while Terran Petteway netted 12 points off the bench as the Mad Ants took an 87-78 advantage into the fourth.
The Charge locked down on defense in the final frame to allow just nine points on 3-of-18 shooting (17%) to tie a season low for points allowed in a quarter. A Canton unit of Juvonte Reddic, John Holland, Nick Minnerath, Chris Crawford, and Michael Stockton played the entire quarter in outscoring Fort Wayne 29-9 for the Charge's ninth-straight win against Central Division opponents and 18th in the last 20 games overall.
Minnerath posted his 11th double-double of the season by scoring a game-high 26 points on 9-of-16 shooting with 10 boards in 28 minutes. Reddic added his second double-double in the last three games with 19 points and 10 rebounds in 31 minutes. Stockton provided an all-around effort of 17 points, seven boards, and eight assists in 28 minutes. John Holland added 16 points, four boards, and four assists in 37 minutes.
Petteway finished with a team-high 26 points on 8-of-18 shooting to go along with six boards to lead Fort Wayne. Whittington ended up with 16 points, seven rebounds, and two steals in 34 minutes on assignment. Fellow Pacer Rakeem Christmas scored 15 points on 6-of-10 shoting with two steals in 33 minutes on assignment.
