
FOUR STARS, THREE AFFILIATES ON NHL PLAYERS TO WATCH LIST

LINCOLN, Neb. - NHL Central Scouting released their Players To Watch list on November 15 for the 2017 NHL Draft, and seven players with Lincoln Stars ties including Paul Cotter, Christian Krygier, Cole Krygier and Philippe Lapointe have been rated.
Cotter, 18, earned a "C" rating, which indicates a 4th/5th/6th round candidate this June. The Canton, Mich. native recorded four goals and five points through nine games in his rookie season with the Stars. The Western Michigan University commit scored a goal in the CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game (AAPG) and earned the same rating on the NHL Central Scouting Preliminary List.
Christian Krygier, 17, was given a "B" rating, which indicates a 2nd/3rd round candidate for the 2017 NHL Draft. The University of Wisconsin commit totalled one assist through nine games this season and six points through 59 games in his USHL career with a +8 rating. The Novi, Mich. product earned the same rating on the NHL Central Scouting Preliminary List following his AAPG appearance in September and Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup appearance in July.
Cole Krygier, 17, also kept his "B" rating from the preliminary list and owns two assists through nine games this season as well as eight points and a +9 rating through 46 career Stars games. The Novi, Mich. native appeared in both the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup and the AAPG prior to this season and has earned the same rating in both scouting lists.
Lapointe, 18, earned a "C" rating on the most recent list following his appearance with the U.S. National Team Development Program (NTDP) at the 2017 Five Nations Cup in Finland. The Burr Ridge, Ill. native tallied two assists through eight games with the Stars this season and also appeared at the AAPG prior to this season. The University of Michigan commit also earned the same rating on the initial watch list.
In addition, three Stars affiliate players earned ratings on the most recent watch list. Bostom College commit Jack McBain recorded a "B" rating, and University of Denver commit Sean Comrie and University of Wisconsin Commit Jack Gorniak each earned a "C" rating. McBain gained 34 points through 25 games with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) and also appeared in the 2017 Hlinka Memorial Cup. Comrie owns 14 points through 21 games with the Spruce Grove Saints this season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), and Gorniak recorded 32 points through 21 games with Team Wisconsin in high school.
