Four Skyforce Players Selected to Participate in Elite Mini Camp

Sioux Falls, SD (May 8, 2014) - DeAndre Liggins, Alex Oriakhi, Tre Kelley and AJ Davis have been selected to participate in the NBA Development Leagues' fifth-annual Elite Mini Camp in Chicago on Monday, May 12 and Tuesday, May 13. The camp features top 2013-14 NBA D-League prospects and gives players an opportunity to display their skills and be evaluated by NBA team personnel in advance of NBA Summer Leagues and 2014 training camps.

Liggins, the 2014 NBA D-League Defensive Player of the Year, averaged 14.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists and a league-leading 2.6 steals in 42 games (41 starts). The 6-6, 209-pound guard received two 10-day contracts with the Miami HEAT during the 2013-14 season.

Oriakhi, who was named to the 2014 NBA D-League All-Rookie First Team, averaged 6.5 points and 5.6 rebounds in 21 games (seven starts) after the Skyforce acquired him in a trade with the Erie BayHawks on February 8. The 6-9, 255-pound forward was selected by the Phoenix Suns in the second round (57th overall) of the 2013 NBA Draft.

Kelley averaged 19.4 points and 5.1 assists in 34 games with the Skyforce (all starts). The 6-0, 188 pound guard was acquired via a trade with the Austin Toros on January 4.

Davis, a rookie out of James Madison, averaged 10.0 points and 3.9 rebounds in 47 games (22 starts). The 6-6, 210 pound guard was selected by the Skyforce in the third round (39th overall) of the 2013 NBA D-League Draft.
