Three Jam Players Invited to Fifth Annual NBA Development League Elite Mini Camp

BAKERSFIELD, May 8, 2014 - Markeith Cummings, Terrel Harris and Dennis Horner have been selected to participate in the NBA Development League's fifth-annual Elite Mini Camp in Chicago on Monday, May 12 and Tuesday, May 13. The camp features top 2013-14 NBA D-League prospects and gives players an opportunity to display their skills and be evaluated by NBA team personnel in advance of NBA Summer Leagues and 2014 training camps.

Cummings (6-6, 240, Kennesaw State University) was drafted in the third round of the 2013 NBA D-League Draft by the Bakersfield Jam. He played in 28 games and averaged 6.2 points and 1.6 rebounds.

Harris (6-5, 190, Oklahoma State) was acquired in a trade with the Texas Legends on February 20. Harris appeared in 18 games (all starts) for the Jam and posted averages of 13.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals.

Horner (6-9, 230, North Carolina State) was also acquired in a trade with the Texas Legends on February 20. He appeared in 18 games (all starts) and tallied 12.6 points and 8.0 rebounds per contest.

The two-day event features both drill work and full-court games for players to comprehensively showcase their talents. NBA front office executives and scouts are expected to be on hand to evaluate the talent, as NBA teams look to fill their rosters for Summer League and training camp.

The event, which is closed to the public, has previously been held in Los Angeles (2009), Chantilly, Va (2010), and Chicago (2012, 2013).
