JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A four-run third inning on Wednesday propelled the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp to a 4-3 triumph in their series finale with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos from the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

Pensacola (57-52, 19-20) led 1-0 when Santiago Chavez walked and Bryson Brigman doubled with one out in the third. An error allowed Chavez to score Jacksonville's (51-58, 22-17) first run off Blue Wahoos starter Charlie Barnes (2-3). Lewin Diaz added a sacrifice fly before Riley Mahan bagged an RBI double. Joe Dunand capped the scoring in the frame with an RBI single to center field, adding to the Jumbo Shrimp lead at 4-1.

Consecutive singles by Pensacola's Alex Kirilloff and Trevor Larnach with one out in the top of the first inning placed two runners on. An error then brought home Kirilloff for the game's first run.

That was the extent of the damage against Jacksonville starter Edward Cabrera (4-1), who ceded just that one unearned run on six hits in 6.2 innings. The right-hander fanned six against two walks.

The Blue Wahoos saw their offensive drought end on Ryan Jeffers' two-run home run in the eighth inning to pull to within 4-3. However, Dylan Lee worked a perfect ninth inning to pick up his 13th save.

Wednesday winning raffle number of 1219012010 won a prize of $284.

Jacksonville begins a five-game series at Biloxi in Thursday's 7:35 p.m. contest. LHP Daniel Castano (3-1, 3.86 ERA) starts for the Jumbo Shrimp against Shuckers RHP Bowden Francis (5-6, 3.90 ERA). Coverage begins at 7:20 p.m. on MiLB.tv, Sunny 102.3 FM, TuneIn and jaxshrimp.com.
