Four IceHogs named All-Star starters

Rockford, Ill.- The United Hockey League announced Wednesday the starting line-ups for Monday's 2005 Pepsi All-Star Classic in Glens Falls, New York and four of the six starters for Team Mountain Dew are from the Rockford IceHogs.

Up front for Team Mountain Dew will be Hogs wingers J.F. Dufour and J.C. Ruid. They will be matched up with Fort Wayne Komets center and the UHL's leading scorer Colin Chaulk. On defense Rockford's Nathan Lutz will start along side Kalamazoo Wings blue-liner Greg Labenski. Goaltender Michel Robinson will get the start in between the pipes for Team Mountain Dew, rounding out the starting line-up.

Rockford will send six total skaters to the Pepsi All-Star Classic. Joining the above mentioned players on Team Mountain Dew include center Olivier Proulx and rookie defenseman Steve Pelletier. The IceHogs have more starters and the most representatives then any of the other 13 UHL teams.

Starting for Team Pepsi include forwards Hugo Belanger (Adirondack Frostbite), Jason Sessa (Elmira Jackals) and David Beauregard (Port Huron Beacons); defensemen Trevor Burgess (Elmira Jackals) and Scott Drevitch (Adirondack Frostbite); and goaltender Scott Stirling (Danbury trashers).

The IceHogs (26-10-5, 57pts) currently hold the top record in the UHL and have a slim lead over Fort Wayne in the UHL's Western Division. The Pepsi All-Star Classic is hosted by the Adirondack Frostbite and will begin at 6:40 p.m. CST. Rockford returns to action tonight when they travel to the MARK of the Quad Cities to take on the Mallards at 7:05 p.m.

Upcoming Home Games: The IceHogs return from a lengthy stretch away from the Rockford MetroCentre for a pair of games beginning Friday, January 28. The Hogs will battle the Flint Generals at 7:05 p.m. while hosting the Fourth Annual NASCAR Night presented by FOX39 and Q98.5 FM.

On Saturday, January 29, Rockford drops the puck against the Kansas City Outlaws at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans to the MetroCentre will receive an IceHogs hat courtesy of Wireless One, WXRX 104.9 FM and 23WIFR. For tickets call (815) 968-5222.
