2005 Pepsi UHL All-Star Classic starters announced

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO – The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Wednesday the starters for the 2005 Pepsi UHL All-Star Classic. The Adirondack Frostbite will host the league's sixth All-Star Classic in Glens Falls, New York on January 24, 2005.

2005 TEAM PEPSI STARTERS
Forwards: Hugo Belanger (Adirondack), Jason Sessa (Elmira), David Beauregard (Port Huron)
Defensemen: Trevor Burgess (Elmira), Scott Drevitch (Adirondack)
Goaltender: Scott Stirling (Danbury)

2005 TEAM MOUNTAIN DEW STARTERS
Forwards: J.C. Ruid (Rockford), Colin Chaulk (Fort Wayne), J.F. Dufour (Rockford)
Defensemen: Nathan Lutz (Rockford), Greg Labenski (Kalamazoo)
Goaltender: Michel Robinson (Rockford)

Hockey enthusiasts cast their votes on the official site of the United Hockey League (www.theuhl.com) for the most deserving UHL players to appear in the starting lineups. Online fan balloting began Monday, January 10, 2005 and ran through Monday January 17, 2005 with over 2,000 ballots submitted.

"I am thrilled to involve the fans in selecting the starters for the All-Star Classic. We received an overwhelming response from the public and are thankful for their contribution," stated UHL President/CEO Richard Brosal.

Tickets for the 2005 UHL All-Star Classic being held at the Glens Falls Civic Center are on sale now by calling (518) 798-0202 or by stopping by the Civic Center Box Office between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Ticket prices include admission for both the Alumni and All-Star Games. The Adirondack Frostbite are enjoying their eighth year as a member of the UHL. The Adirondack franchise changed their name in the summer of 2004 after being purchased by Glens Falls Professional Hockey, LLC (GFPH, LLC). The new ownership group includes ESPN analysts Barry Melrose and Steve Levy as well as Richmond RiverDogs owner Glenn Morelli.

The UHL is celebrating its 14th consecutive season with 14 member clubs, aligned in three divisions and competing in seven states, including the expansion Danbury Trashers (Connecticut), Motor City Mechanics (Michigan) and Kansas City Outlaws (Missouri).
