BOUCTOUCHE, N.B. - Oliver Cooper and Noah Zilbert each scored twice to lead the Saint John Sea Dogs to a 5-1 victory over the Moncton Wildcats in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League pre-season action at the J.K. Irving Centre in Bouctouche.

Stephen Anderson had the other goal for Saint John, which improved to 3-2 in exhibition play. Moncton, which entered the game with the league's most wins in the pre-season, dropped to 5-2.

Cooper opened the scoring with his first of the exhibition season with just under three-and-a-half minutes to go in the first period, and Saint John led 1-0 after one.

The Dogs took over in the second period with four goals in a five-minute stretch.

Cooper netted a power play goal nine minutes into the middle frame to make it a 2-0 game. It was followed less than a minute later by Zilbert's first of the night. Just 28 seconds after that, Anderson found the net, and then Zilbert capped off the Sea Dogs' scoring outburst with a shorthanded goal with six minutes left in the period.

Moncton's Cameron Yarwood broke the Sea Dogs' shutout bid with 1:36 to go in the third.

Goaltender Sebastien Auger made 19 saves and Antoine Landry added ten to combine for the win for Saint John. Wildcats' starter Graham Hunt allowed four goals on 14 shots before being replaced by Alex Dubeau midway through the game.

The two teams meet again Sunday at 3 p.m. at Harbour Station in the final pre-season tune-up for both squads.

Tickets are available at the Harbour Station box office, online at tickets.harbourstation.ca, or by calling 657-1234.
