
The host city of the 2015 MasterCard Memorial Cup will be revealed in April 2014

MONTREAL, Friday September 6, 2013 - During the General Annual Assembly of the Board of Governors held today in Montreal, the Board of Governors voted to reveal the host city of the 2015 MasterCard Memorial Cup on April 3rd, 2014, after the Golden Puck Awards.
Timelines have already been set regarding the process. Teams interested in making a bid for the event must declare their intent prior to September 30th, 2013. A brief, which underlines the ability of bidding franchises to host the event, must then be forwarded to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's head office prior to December 15th, 2013.
"The Board of Governors voted to mandate an independent committee to choose the site of the next MasterCard Memorial Cup as was the case in the two previous tournaments in Rimouski and Shawinigan. Over the course of the next few weeks, steps will be taken to select the members of the independent committee, - declared the Commissioner Gilles Courteau. The independent committee will begin touring potential sites early in 2014. A decision is expected in April 2014.
