Four Game Win Streak Snapped in Appleton

(Appleton-WI)- A five run sixth inning propelled the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers over the Burlington Bees, 6-1 on Saturday night in game two of a four game series at Neuroscience Group Field in Appleton.

Taylor Brennan put the Timber Rattlers on top in the second inning with a towering homer to left, giving Wisconsin a 1-0 lead.

The Bees tied the game in the sixth on an Angel Rosa solo homer to left field, tying the game a one.

Wisconsin erupted in the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring five runs. Michael Ratterree put the Timber Rattlers back on top with a double scoring Omar Garcia. Clint Coulter crushed a two run homer to left and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers went up 4-1. Two more runs crossed the plate in the inning on wild pitches as the Timber Rattlers went on to win 6-1.

Bees' starter Victor Alcantara worked five innings allowing one run on two hits and struck out six in a no decision.

Wisconsin starter, Taylor Williams (6-1), picked up the win while Grant Gordon (1-2) was charged with the loss for the Bees.

The Bees continues a four game series against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Sunday afternoon at 1:05 PM. Harrison Cooney takes the mound for the Burlington Bees (42-36) against Preston Gainey for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (42-36).
