
Captains Manufacture 3-2 Win

Lake County Captains News Release
(Dayton, OH)- Grant Fink hit a sacrifice fly to center field in the top of the ninth inning and the Captains beat the Dragons 3-2 on Saturday Night. With two on and no one out Torsten Boss moved both runners into scoring position setting the stage for Fink. Lake County clinched a winning road trip with the victory. The Captains and Dragons sat through a one hour and one minute rain delay after the first inning.
Dayton scored a run in the bottom of the second inning. Jon Matthews smacked his first homerun of the season, a solo shot and the score was 1-0 Dragons. Lake County tied the ballgame in the top of the third inning. Claudio Bautista walked, stole second base and moved to third on a wild pitch. Clint Frazier singled home Bautista and the score was even at 1-1.
Dayton regained the lead in the bottom half of the fourth inning. Tanner Rahier doubled and moved to third on a ground ball. He scored on a wild pitch and it was 2-1 Dragons. The Captains tied it at 2-2 when Claudio Bautista blasted his seventh homerun of the season, a solo shot over the left field wall. After five innings the score was even at 2-2.
RHP Jordan Milbrath (2-8) started the game for Lake County and did not get a decision. Milbrath pitched four innings, and allowed five hits, two earned runs, one walk and two strike outs. Just in Brantley pitched three scoreless innings of relief allowing just one hit and fanning one. Ben Heller (4-1) got the win after pitching two innings and allowing two hits and striking out four.
RHP Jackson Stephens (0-0) started for the Dragons and did not get a decision. Jackson pitched four and two thirds innings and allowed five hits, two earned runs, one walk and four strikeouts. Dayton used two pitchers in relief. The loss went to Alejandro Chacin (4-3). Chacin allowed the run in the ninth.
The Captains will remain in Dayton, Ohio to take on the Dragons in game three of a four game series. On Sunday, the Captains will send RHP Caleb Hamrick (2-3, 6.67) to the mound and Dayton will counter with LHP Amir Garrett (2-4, 4.38). First Pitch is at 2:00 PM from Fifth Third Field.
