Four Chivas USA Players Join National Teams

Carson, CA. - Chivas USA announced that two more of its players have received calls from national teams for upcoming official FIFA matches from November 11through the 15. Canadian defender Ante Jazic and Costa Rican defender Michael Umaña have both been called up by their respective national teams. This sums a total of four Goats that have been designated for international duty in the past week, including forward Alejandro Moreno and Defender Zarek Valentin.

Ante Jazic - Canada National Team. For Jazic, this represents his third call up this year to his national team as they are in the second round of FIFA World Cup Qualifying. The Canadian squad squares off against St. Kitts and Nevis twice as they need only one point from its remaining two fixtures in Group D of CONCACAF Round 2 of FIFA World Cup(tm) qualifying to clinch first place in the pool and secure an entrance into Round 3.

*Both of these matches are part of CONCACAF Round 2 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil(tm) Qualifiers.

Michael Umaña - Costa Rica National Team. For Umaña, this is his third call up so far this year for a pair of friendly matches. La Sele will match up against Panama and FIFA World Cup Champions Spain.
