
Four Bees Make All-Star Team

Burlington, IA (June 9, 2005) - The Midwest League announced the rosters for the Midwest League All-Star Game to be played at Peoria on Tuesday, June 21st. This year, four members of the Burlington Bees were named to the Western Division's team: 1B Rusty Brown, OF Geraldo Valentin, and RHP's Luis Cota and Yovany Damico. Four is the most players the Bees have had selected to the All-Star team in the last seven seasons.
SS Ed Lucas was not selected to the All-Star team, but is the subject of a "Faces in the Field" feature story on the official website of Minor League Baseball, www.minorleaguebaseball.com. Fans should also visit www.minorleaguebaseball.com to tune in to all broadcasts of Bees baseball live on the internet. The play-by-play of each game as heard on KBUR AM 1490 and KBKB AM 1360, the Bees Radio Network, will be available the rest of the season through this new setup. Fans will be able to access the live feed through the Bees website at www.gobees.com, when the new site design is launched in the upcoming days.
The Bees last home stand of the first half starts tonight at 7:00 against the Ft. Wayne Wizards. Tonight is a Fat Tuesdays Thirsty Thursday featuring 2-for-$3 specials on 20oz. bottles of Pepsi products and 12oz. cans of beer. All-Star Luis Cota will start tonight for the Bees. The Bees and Wizards will play a double-header tomorrow night starting at 6:00 on a TGI Bud Night and the start of Ft. Madison Community weekend.
