
Forwards Brant Harris and Alex Aleardi Return from AHL

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades announced Tuesday that forward Brant Harris (pictured left) has returned to the team from the Adirondack Flames of the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, forward Alex Aleardi (pictured right) has also returned to the 'Blades from the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL. The Everblades have added both players to their playoff roster which is now set at the maximum 23 players.
Harris, 25, rejoins the 'Blades after posting five points (2g, 3a) in 15 games during his recent call-up with Adirondack. The 6-1, 185-pound forward has recorded 43 points (16g, 27a) in 57 appearances with the Everblades this season and was recently the recipient of the team's Rookie of the Year Award.
Harris logged 26 points (11g, 15a) last season at the University of Connecticut (AHA). In addition, Harris posted three points in eight games played with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League (AHL) last spring. The 6-1, 185-pound winger racked up a total of 112 points (52g, 60a) during his four-year collegiate career at Connecticut.
Aleardi, 22, returns to the 'Blades having totaled 23 points (12g, 11a) in 48 appearances on the season with Charlotte. In addition, the 5-9, 167-pound winger has totaled 19 points (8g, 11a) in just 16 games with the 'Blades this season. .
Last season, Aleardi (pronounced AL-ee-ARE-DEE) registered 16 points in 41 contests with the AHL's Springfield Falcons. In the same season, Aleardi logged 23 points (14g, 9a) in 23 games with the Evansville IceMen (ECHL). The Fort Wayne, Indiana native amassed 227 career points in the Ontario Hockey League in stints with the Kitchener Rangers, Belleville Bulls, Plymouth Whalers, and Windsor Spitfires from 2008-2013.
The Everblades and Solar Bears meet for Game 3 of the East Division Semifinals tonight at the Amway Center. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. The Everblades lead the best-of-seven series 2-0.
