
Forward Darwin Jones Named to USL Team of the Week for Week 17

SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC forward Darwin Jones has been named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 17 after helping Sounders FC 2 earn a 3-2 road win over Arizona United SC on Saturday, July 16. The second-year Homegrown Player put the Rave Green ahead 1-0 in the 25th minute before scoring the game-winning tally in the 56th minute. Jones has three goals on the season, all scored in S2's past two games.
Additionally, midfielder Jordan Schweitzer earned a reserve spot on the Team of the Week for the second consecutive week. The Homegrown Player scored his first professional goal against United SC just before halftime when he dropped a left-footed lob into the empty net from outside the 18-yard-box.
