Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Dale Mitchell has been recalled from the Royals by the Maple Leafs and re-assigned to the Marlies. In other transactions previously completed, the Royals (i) released forward Will Acton from his Amateur Tryout Agreement with the team; (ii) signed forward Ian O'Connor to an ECHL contract; and (iii) added Alex Sincavage as the team's Emergency Back-Up Goaltender. Sincavage was released today as the team's EBG.

He played two games in his most recent stint with Reading and picked up ten penalty minutes. Mitchell has scored two goals and assisted on two others (four points) and registered fourteen penalty minutes in five games with the Royals. Mitchell, a third round pick of the Maple Leafs in 2007, has registered thirteen points (5g-8a) and twenty-nine penalty minutes in forty-seven games with the Marlies this year. Acton, a first year pro from Stauffville, Ontario, was signed to an ATO on March 22. He played in one game with the Royals without registering any points or penalty minutes. This marks the second time that O'Connor, a first year pro from Londonderry, New Hampshire, has been signed by the Royals.
