BOISE, Idaho - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, beat the Idaho Steelheads 3-2 before a crowd of 5,044 at Qwest Arena Friday night.

Kyle Kraemer's power-play goal put the Reign up 1-0 at 13:17 of the first period, as he fired Justin Taylor's pass into the top shelf of the net for his 15th goal of the season.

The teams played back-and-forth hockey in the third period. Aaron Lewadniuk gave Ontario a 2-0 lead with a power-play goal at 3:44, but Mark Derlago responded at 8:21 to cut the Reign lead to 2-1. Ontario re-established a two-goal lead with the man advantage at 9:27, as Bourret's pass through the slot found Jordan Morrison all alone to snap it into a wide-open net to make it 3-1. Marty Flichel cut the Ontario lead to 3-2 at 13:13. However, the Reign shut down the Idaho offense for the rest of the period, and held on for the 3-2 win.

Beau Erickson earned the win with 30 saves, while Dusty Carlson stopped 20 shots in the loss.
