Aces Sign Defenseman Bryant Molle

The Alaska Aces have signed defenseman, Bryant Molle (pronounced MALL-ee), Head Coach Brent Thompson announced on Friday. Molle will make his pro debut with the Aces, after playing four seasons of collegiate hockey at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. The Aces host the Utah Grizzlies for three games, beginning Friday night in the final home series of the regular season. Tickets are available for all three games. Molle, 23, is a local product of Anchorage, AK, standing 6'3" and weighing 214 lbs. He joins Alaska just weeks after his collegiate career came to a close at the UAF. Molle had 19 points (5g, 4a) in 141 NCAA games for the Nanooks. Prior to playing at UAF, Molle played junior hockey in both the NAHL and BCHL. In his junior year, Molle was named UAF's Most Improved Player. This year he is a finalist for the 2011 Lowes Senior Class Award, as well as being one of five finalists for the Derek Hines Unsung Hero Award that will be presented at this year's Frozen Four. Molle was a Civil Engineering major while at UAF. His older brother Dustin is a former member of the Idaho Steelheads, currently playing with the Fort Wayne Komets of the CHL.
